Photos of the Allan family grave at the Mount Royal Cemetery
The Gudewills (20285 Lakeshore), Yates (211 Oakridge) and Allan (19992 Lakeshore) families were almost direct neighbors long before Baie-D'Urfé was subdivided for houses. It is interesting that the family plots
are arranged along the hill of the cemetery in the same order as their houses in Baie-D'Urfé and they remain neighbors to this date.
The Allan grave is at the top of the hill in the Pine Hill section of the historic Mount Royal Cemetery.
The headstones provide some useful information and key dates for further research.
Of interest for the history of Baie-D'Urfé are: John Allan (1863 - 1912), Douglas Hood Allan (1902 - 1972) and Daphany Allan Lindsay (1927 - 2005).
